ROBBIN' MAD

An endless arcade 2D stealth/action game where you explore a randomly generated endless town and try to steal as much money as possible! The task won't be easy though, as this town has the highest crime rate in the country. After the economy entered a period of hyperinflation, many started going crazy. There's robbers stealing from other robbers, corrupt cops, aggressive pedestrians pushing you out of their way, you name it. You can't trust anybody in this town! Will you become the richest criminal alive or will you die trying?

Your goal is to get as much money as you can, but try to keep your suspicion meter low at all times. If a police officer catches you at high suspicion, they will start chasing, and at 100 suspicion, spawn reinforcements making things very hard. To avoid high suspicion, either use items to lower it, use other items to prevent it from increasing, or simply wait it out as it very slowly creeps back down over time. If you see an officer, don't commit a crime near them or go near at all if at high suspicion.

There are small popups when you go near some objects in-game that show you what to do if you get confused.

Only on Windows builds, you can submit high scores to an online leaderboard from the main menu!

Items:

Grilled Cheese	Will lower your suspicion by 15%.
Double Grilled Cheese	Will lower your suspicion by 30%.
Fart Spray	Use to create a temporary safe area, where all NPCs will faint when too close.
Smoke Bomb	Create a temporary hiding spot that makes NPCs lose track of you.
Firework	Distract nearby pedestrians to rob them scot-free.
Ski Mask	A disguise that will prevent you from gaining suspicion.
Top  Hat	Raises suspicion 25% but will double all cash for 30 seconds.
Coffee	Multiplies speed by 1.25x for 15 seconds but raises suspicion.
Red Bull	Multiplies speed by 1.35x for 20 seconds but raises suspicion.
Money	Rare pickup sometimes inside of a house. Gives a random amount of cash.

Please report any bugs you find! The Brackey's Game Jam allows bug fixes for 2 extra days so it would be very helpful if you reported any bugs you find. They will be fixed over time. The most likely cases of bugs are with the NPC spawning and mobile port so we will be fixing and finding bugs over time.

This is an entry to the BRACKEY's Game Jam. The game is short and does not live up to its full potential. Minor additions may be made but a full, completed and polished version of the game is very unlikely.

The theme is Trust No One. The game follows this theme because random people in the town can be dangerous and you can't tell until they start chasing you. You can't trust anybody in the town to be civilized and you can't trust the police to arrest other wrongdoers to make your task easier.
